SITEPROOF · LOCAL EDITION
Your screenshots stay with you.
SiteProof captures the visible area of a website only when you click “Capture page”. It records the screenshot, page title, URL path, capture time and viewport size. URL query strings, fragments and credentials are removed. Sensitive information may still appear in the screenshot or URL path: review it before sharing.
Local storage
Projects, screenshots and imported feedback are stored in IndexedDB inside this browser profile. This version has no server, analytics, advertising, remote fonts, AI requests, accounts or automatic uploads.
Exporting and sharing
An exported HTML report or JSON project backup contains your selected screenshots and project details. Files are saved to your device. SiteProof does not send them to clients. Share files using your chosen channel and protect confidential material.
Client feedback
A client can save a feedback JSON file from the HTML report and return it to you. Importing it records the feedback for that report version. It does not verify the sender’s identity and is not a digital signature.
Deletion and backups
Delete a project in the workspace to remove its local screenshots and imported feedback. Export project backups before clearing browser data or uninstalling the extension: either operation may remove local data. Uninstalling does not delete files you exported elsewhere.
Permissions
activeTab grants temporary access after you click the extension. scripting reads the page’s viewport dimensions. SiteProof does not collect browser history or capture pages in the background.
This notice applies to SiteProof Local Edition 0.1.2. A future cloud or paid version would require its own clearly disclosed data handling.
