Build your report

  1. Create a project with your client and studio name.
  2. Add a change and upload before-and-after screenshots from your device. This browser workspace does not access other tabs.
  3. Add a clear explanation, hide sensitive details, then choose Save change.

Send it to your client

Choose Export client report, open the downloaded HTML file in a browser and check it before sharing. Send that file through your chosen email or file-sharing tool. Your client can open it without installing SiteProof.

For a PDF, open the report and use Print / Save PDF. To return feedback, the client downloads a feedback JSON file and sends it to you; use Import client feedback in the project. Feedback records its report version and does not verify the sender’s identity.

Hand a project to a colleague

Save your changes, then choose Project backup. Send the JSON file through your chosen secure channel. Your colleague opens this browser workspace and uses Import project backup to edit their own local copy. The same backup format works with the optional SiteProof extension.

Agree who edits next: copies do not sync or merge. Importing a returned backup can replace your local project; download a backup of your current work first. Feedback files are separate and must be kept separately.

Projects are stored only for this website origin and browser profile. The web workspace and the extension have separate storage; transfer projects with JSON backups. Export important projects before clearing browser data or changing devices. Copies do not sync or merge. Screenshots and backups can contain private client information.

A separate copy gets a new project ID. Original feedback files stay linked to the original project. Replacing a project keeps its ID but may make existing feedback refer to an older report version.

Before replacing, cancel and download a backup of your local project if you need to keep it. Project backups exclude client feedback.

  1. Use your device’s screenshot tool to save the original and updated page.
  2. Choose Add change, then upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP image.
  3. Hide sensitive details and choose Save change.

For visible-page capture in Chrome or Edge, you can install the optional SiteProof extension. It has separate local storage. Export a project backup there and import it here to move work between them.
